You’re in the right place. Our publicity team are hosting a 101 workshop all about publicity - How to get that buzz happening for your show through social media, reviewer and influencer relationships.

Designed for independent producers and self-producing artists across all disciplines, you'll learn all the basics:

- Establishing your art's point of difference and how to convey it to media and influencers
- The lowdown on the media landscape in Australia (arts, entertainment & culture) – to help you think more laterally about what media might like about your art
- Pitching your art to media – hot tactics and tricks
- Reviewers! How to approach them, and what to do if you get a stellar (or not so stellar) review
- The basics of media release writing
- Creating a publicity strategy and timeline to promote your art (that will not take you ages)

Fiona Brook is the Founder and Director of Zilla & Brook Publicity, a leading creative communications agency in Melbourne with a focus on arts, design, food and beverage and lifestyle sectors. Fiona is an experienced communications specialist with an extensive network in local and international media.
